HISTORY

Alton was founded on the 24th of March in 2021 in both Tony Austin's and Ronin Alvarez' rooms. They realized that their former micronation, Borikhna, was going to collapse soon as Alvarez was moving. As Alvarez was one of the leaders of Borikhna, he wouldn't be able to work on it and there was no one else there to help Austin with the micronation, which would mean that it would collapse.

Both Alvarez and Austin wanted a micronation that they could work on together without needing to be there physically, and so they decided to restart from scratch. They both wanted an English-like micronation, and so they used a name generator. It took about 10 minutes to come up with a name. Originally, there were several other names and it was decided that the name should be Alton.

The flag took about 20-30 minutes to design. It was going to be a complex flag, however Austin had an idea of making a white flag but with a red star in the top left corner with a line at the bottom. Originally, Ronin Alvarez didn't like it, but he eventually liked it and that is now the current flag of Alton.
